Expo 2025 - Active Shooter & Trauma Preparedness

Please join the Mercyhealth Trauma Preparedness Center (TPC) and Pre-hospital services for a tour of trauma mitigation and the courses offered at The Mercyhealth TPC. The TPC will present an active shooting event in real time and the desired response for those trained in the “Avoid Deny Defend” philosophy. Immediately following the active shooter demonstration, the highly trained instructors of the TPC will demonstrate the trauma mitigation skills, taught at the TPC, following the aftermath of an active shooting event.
 
This demonstration will give all participants a teaser for the full and half day courses taught at the TPC. Participants will have the opportunity to see presentation techniques that are non-traditional and support all four adult learning styles, which enhance the experience and the outcome of training. The instructors have built in time for Q&A.
