Basics is a natural foods store, coffee shop and deli founded in 1977. As a co-op, Basics is 100% owned by the community and open to the public. While anyone is welcome to shop or attend classes and events, those who choose to invest in co-op ownership have a say on important store issues, can vote for and run for election to the Board of Directors, receive many extra discounts, and become lifetime members of a not-for-profit cooperative business.
Basics is dedicated to providing valuable, healthy choices and information. All foods and vitamins at Basics are free of artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives.
Products are sourced from farms and businesses using sustainable agricultural practices, and are locally made as often as possible.
