645 3rd Street in Beloit is the location of Irontek, a co-working complex that's run by Hendricks Commercial Properties. BIFF's official headquarters is in the Irontek complex, in Unit #51.
BIFF is international independent film festival whose original goal was to bringing the world to Beloit and Beloit to the world through film. The main event that BIFF produces is the Beloit International Film Festival itself. During this 10-day event held each spring, over 100 films are shown and over 100 filmmakers attend. Since its beginnings in 2006, BIFF has become a valued community event centered around arts entertainment and education via independent film. In 2025, BIFF will proudly celebrate its 20th anniversary.
In 2022 BIFF developed a new strategic plan, which introduced the following objectives:
Vision: To offer social, entertainment, and educational opportunities for Beloit and Stateline area residents to become more informed about issues in today's world by using film as a source for cultural awareness.
Mission: The Beloit International Film Festival, Inc. is a 501(c)3 organization dedicated to annually staging an exceptional event that attracts visitors to the community, enhances the image of Beloit, and brings the community together in a celebration of film and unique experiences.
