About Us

Back in 2008, John Schneider and Jerry Walls connected through Craigslist. John wanted to start real estate investing but knew nothing about flipping homes, while Jerry was just starting his general contractor career and knew nothing about investing. They began working together out of John’s basement in the middle of ‘08 recession. While vacant houses were being broken into so the copper pipes could be stolen and sold, John and Jerry began purchasing foreclosed homes and reviving them back to livable conditions.

House by house, John and Jerry revitalized entire neighborhoods on the east side of Madison. Both of them strove to make money through their investments while at the same time give back to their community. Through their efforts, Property Revival was born. Eventually, Property Revival evolved into three sister companies: Property Revival Construction, Artisol Design, and EXIT Realty HGM. These companies all work together with the same goal to revive homes through the Dane and Rock County areas.

The three companies share the same values: help, gratitude, and mindset. We started with the intent of helping our communities, and we still start every conversation with “How can we help?”. We are grounded through gratitude for our communities and the people who helped us get to where we are today. Finally, we face every challenge with a positive mindset and strive to create a culture full of problem-solvers. Our story has shaped many homes and lives in the Dane and Rock County area, and we can’t wait until you are a part of our story, too.
