As a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), First Lutheran Church is a community called to reach, nourish, and empower people with the Good News of Jesus Christ! While we may be the first Lutheran church in Janesville, we are still a work in progress – learning together and growing in new ways to live the life we see in Jesus. How do we learn and grow? By being genuinely inclusive so everyone is welcome to join us, and rooted in faith through grace, Scripture and sacrament. First Lutheran Church is externally focused, committed to reaching out to our community to be caring neighbors who show up to meet real needs.
