About Us

In the heart of a small Wisconsin town, stands a wrestling center unlike any other. This isn't just a place for grappling and pinning opponents to the mat; it's a sanctuary built upon the foundation of compassion and understanding. This is the Riley Nilo Training Center, a beacon of hope erected in memory of a young man whose life was tragically cut short by the silent battles of mental health.

Riley Nilo was more than just a wrestler; he was a son, a brother, a friend—a radiant soul whose smile once beamed through the halls of his high school. His passion for wrestling was unparalleled, his dedication unwavering. But behind the bravado and the strength displayed on the mat, Riley struggled silently with demons that few could comprehend.

In the wake of his passing, Ally Yeko proposed to everyone the idea of something positive in the community to transform the grief into something special, something that would honor his memory, carry his name on for generations to remember and provide solace to others who grappled with similar struggles. And so, the idea for the Riley Nilo Training Center was born -- a haven where the physicality of the sport intertwines with the emotional support needed to conquer one's inner battles. The Yeko family purchased the old Varsity Lanes building located at 450 South John Paul Road in Milton and constructed the center with the help of family and many friends. Thank you to everyone that has offered their help and support. We truly appreciate it.

The center is more than just a training facility; it's a safe space where individuals can come to heal, to find community, and to embrace the strength within themselves. The walls are adorned with messages of encouragement and reminders that it's okay not to be okay. Resources for counselors and mental health professionals are on hand to provide support and guidance to those who seek it, ensuring that no one feels alone in their journey.

Inside the wrestling arena, the spirit of Riley lives on. Athletes of all ages and backgrounds are welcome to come together to hone their skills and be a part of something truly special. It's a place where victories are celebrated, not just on the scoreboard, but in the triumphs of overcoming personal obstacles and breaking free from the chains of mental illness.

The Riley Nilo Training Center serves as a sign of light in the darkness, a testament to the resilience of the human spirit, and a reminder that even in our darkest moments, there is hope. Riley may no longer walk among us, but his legacy lives on in every soul that finds solace within these walls, in every life that is touched by the compassion and understanding that define this extraordinary place.
