About Us
The Irvin L. Young Performing Arts Center (The Young) at the University of Wisconsin–Whitewater is a regional destination for live performance, arts education, and community engagement. The Young presents a diverse season of professional touring artists and entertainment – from Broadway to comedy and live music - along with an education series that connects students and schools with meaningful live arts experiences.
With a 1,300-seat auditorium, the Kachel Center, Fern Young Terrace, and additional event spaces, The Young also serves as a resource for the university and greater community. Our spaces are available for performances, meetings, conferences, receptions, and other special events.
As part of UW–Whitewater, The Young brings together campus and community through exceptional performances, educational opportunities, and welcoming spaces designed to be shared.
